I read somewhere that Jack Lord left a secret Last Will right before he
died, and in it he specified that all of his toupees were supposed to be
donated to the smithsonian, however the will was only recently discovered,
and Jack's gay lover already sold off all of Jack's old toupee's shortly
after his death, so now there is a mad scramble to find the toupee's so
they can be returned to the smithsonian.
