That's not exactly what I would call a confirmation, and the
notification itself could be their auto-bot testing valid email
addresses known to its system, but assuming the notification you got is
supposed to serve as some sort of affirmative indication that the DVD
is soon to be released, then why the hell wouldn't Amazon just come
right out and say it?

The delay makes no sense to me either ... unless it has to do with
rights, so I'll believe it when I can purchase the first season through
my favorite retailer.
