I read that Jack Lord had Zulu booted off the show over some kind of a
racial slur, which is rather piously hypocritical of a lead actor who
routinely repeated disparaging ethnic-specific terms on his own show,
but the source didn't reveal any details, and I'm wondering if someone
knows what really happened.
I mean, there must have been a lot more to it than that. The original
cast made good sense together, and it just seems a little too extreme a
fate for such a well-regarded member who most assuredly would have
stayed beyond the fourth season!
Thankfully though, the replacements were excellent.
