Hard to believe the show's coming to an end. Oh well ... here's a quick
heads' up for tonight.
- Ruthie loses diamond. Entire gang tears up the house.
Kevin and Lucy think it's funny but then figure out that T-Bone may
have gotten ring to try to have sex with Ruthie. Cornered, T-Bone
admits that may have been part of it and admits as much to Ruthie in
private but tells her he loves her and won't pressure her. Sam
ultimately finds diamond under her bed, while his sister and her
boyfriend are making out on top of it.
- Eric freaks out when he sees a crow in the backyard. He then
pays a visit to an elderly neighbor, a WW2 veteran named "Red" who
tells him the same war story over again. He offers Eric his Purple
Heart but Eric refuses - to which Red says the fear Eric is facing
about dying is nothing compared to what Red faced in the battlefield.
- Jane, Margaret and Mac search on the kitchen floor for the
diamond. Jane spots Mac's butt. Later at the theatre, Mac talks to
Sandy and her new boyfriend about what happened. The b/f, who's
named Jonathan and who is an OBGYN doesn't think much of the glance
but thinks the lost diamond may be a sign T-Bone and Ruthie aren't
meant to be together and that perhaps Mac should go after Ruthie
instead.
- Lucy freaks out when she sees the crow as well, mistaking it for
a raven; and wonders if it's a sign she shouldn't be going after a job
at another church. She gets the call but then asks to call back;
then later realizes her fears were misplaced, especially when she
learns that Eric has known about Lucy's intentions all along.
- The crow belongs to Red - he just lost it that morning.
