"7th Heaven" has always been a special show to our family, and we
share the viewers' sadness that there will not be any more original
episodes after May 13. The show is the longest-running family drama on
television, and its fans over the years are among the most-dedicated
we have ever seen. "7th Heaven" was a milestone in so many ways. Its
debut, on August 26, 1996, marked the first-ever Monday broadcast of
the then-fledging WB Network, and its final season marked the
beginning of the CW Network.
It is doubly sad, since "7th Heaven" is the last original "Aaron
Spelling Production" on the air. My husband created and produced
scores of shows beginning in the late 1960s through his passing last
year; and many of them still air daily on stations around the country
and throughout the world. I am sure that "7th Heaven" will join Aaron
Spelling Productions such as "The Love Boat," "Beverly Hills 90210,"
"Charlie's Angels," "Dynasty," "Melrose Place," "Starsky & Hutch,"
"Fantasy Island" and others in syndication for years to come. But, all
of us will miss watching the Camdens grow and mature and wondering
what this family and their new and old friends will do next.
Many fans have already contacted us to express their views and share
memories about "7th Heaven," so we decided to launch a web site to
officially saw "farewell" to the show.
We will welcome your thoughts, memories, anecdotes and anything you
want to tell us about your experiences with "7th Heaven" during the
past 11 years. Or you can check in to see what others have to say.
Thank you to the wonderful fans and friends of the show. We'll look
forward to hearing your thoughts.
Sincerely,
Candy Spelling
