Speaking of this phenomenom, why is it that certain older shows, such
as M*A*S*H (which I watch religiously, FTR), for example, still have a
loyal fanbase and following, even in Usenet, some 20-30 years after
the last episode aired, but a lot of the newer shows that were once
upon a time popular and had loyal fans (e.g. Gilmore Girls) and that
have since been cancelled or concluded their run with a planned series
finale (e.g. Felicity... and I'm talking about the eppy - before the
dream sequence garbage that had a nonsensical 3-4 episode arc - where
Elena died in the car accident), everyone who watched the newer
show... well, they fall off the face of the earth???
It doesn't make much sense to me.
