Good to know that this is still the place to keep current!
Off for the summer? What sort of work are you doing now?
I'm working full time doing receptionist & data entry work for a
commercial
credit service company. The work itself is pretty boring (lots of
number-crunching and such), but the people are a hoot, which makes the
workplace pleasant. I'm tired a lot -- still have fibromyalgia/chronic
fatigue syndrome -- but I'm not sick enough to be on disability, yet not
well enough to work full time *and* have energy for much of anything other
than work. However, at this point Dave and I need me to bring in a
full-time
income, so here I am. (If things work out as planned, though, there's a
good
chance that in a couple of years I can work part time, which would be
ideal
for me health-wise.) I'm also still doing some freelance proofreading and
tutoring -- that's the stuff I really love to do, but unfortunately
there's
not enough of it to make up a steady full-time income.
Otherwise I'm doing great -- nearly 200 pounds smaller (and several sizes
--
down from 34W to 14) than I was prior to gastric bypass surgery. So I
guess
now I've lost a Calista Flockhart and a Backstreet Boy?
Diabetes, high cholesterol and hypertension are but a distant memory.
My most immediate short-term goal is to find time/place for a
not-too-pricey
weekend getaway for Dave and me -- something to give the illusion of a
vacation (until I actually get vacation time after the first of next
year!)
Good to know you're doing well!
Till soon,
Ellen
