Doug has no scenes with Marcia Cross, at least in the pilot. And the way
the
show is set up, he'll probably have few if any scenes with her in the
future. In fact, Doug is hardly in the pilot at all.
Teri Hatcher is actually bearable in this, for a change. Nicollette
Sheridan, from "Knots Landing", is OK, but she's aging really poorly.
Sheryl
Lee was the narrator/dead housewife in the version I saw, and she was
quite
good. But she's been replaced by Brenda Strong. Felicity Huffman really
stole the show, though.
Good pilot -- a real original (and we know how rare originality is on TV
these days). It's kind of like "Knots Landing" (setting) meets "The
Stepford
Wives" (tone) meets "Twin Peaks" (mystery).
