I took a serious dislike to Billy when it turned out that Georgia was the
reason he left Ally. What a stupid git. And he can't use the excuse of a
tumour for his behaviour then.

Do we care? It was very entertaining.

John is a true giver. His poor self image led him to believe that other
men
would be able to give Ally a better life than he could and so he was
prepared to sacrifice his own desires to that end. If Ally could have
persuaded him that he was a worthwhile person, they might have hit it off,
but as it is they kept 'missing' which would suggest they were better off
as
friends.

We are talking about usans here.

He remained as a dream. Do you think Ally would have been better off
realising that Billy had been a complete waste of time? Let's not forget
that Ally isn't really in touch with the 'real' world and is an idealist
to
boot.

Why let real life get in the way of a perfectly good story.

Georgia didn't steal Billy. Billy abandoned Ally. Should Ally hold Georgia
responsible?

Who?
