Hi,
I read on the internet that Larry was written out because he, or to be
precise RDJ, was turning up late to filming each day. It seems they
have zero tolerance with their actors (thinking of Renee etc).
Now I am confused. If RDJ was causing so much trouble, why not get rid
of him straight away? Larry's departure was drawn out, so presumably
all the time they were filming his leaving, RDJ was still turning up
late and causing disruption.
Why not make Larry leave sooner? When he flew off to look after his
son, I thought that was the end of him. Why did they bring him back
and risk more disruption on the set?
Why was RDJ so co-operative? If he had been told he would be fired,
why did he not walk out there and then?
I have to say that imho Larry going was a good thing. It's a horrible
thing to say but I can say it because it is fiction, but I did not
enjoy the show when Ally was happy. It was much better when Ally had
dreams, hallucinations, singing and dancing. When she was happy all of
these stopped.
It was nice to see Billy's ghost come back. Did GB make a guest
appearance to film this or was it old film? It is a shame that his
ghost did not make more appearances if GB had time to film clips.
I really struggled to watch s4. There was a point where Ally did not
appear much in some episodes and I thought the show should have been
re titled "Cage & Fish & Associates". The episode where Richard and
Jon go on vacation was an exception, I enjoyed that even without Ally,
but there were other shows too where she was conspicuously absent. I
really was not interested in Mark or his boy/girl friend.
I have started to watch s5 but that seems even worse (watch for
another post on that another time)!
