The song is featured on Venice's "garage demos part 1: slow stuff" album,
but it seems you already have that, and it isn't what you're after.
Assuming that's true, the best I can unearth is the following:

This is a real audio (56k) recording of an acoustic show they did at
Arcadia
back on 29th July 2000. They played "The only love I had" as the fifth
song
in the second half of that concert. If you want just that song, (rather
than the whole concert), start playing from 23:00 minutes in and you'll
hear
the pre-amble, including the part where the song is dedicated to his
mother.
Other than that, I can't find any other "official" release.
