Torchy and old times

by Grimble Gromble <grimble.gromble@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Oct 23, 2006 at 03:55 PM

Hello! (hello) (hello) (hello) ...

Just popped in to see if anyone was still about. Noticed Little Miss
Sunshine (Catherine) had dropped by a few months ago - sorry I missed you.

I remember a conversation with one of you a very, very long time ago about

Torchy The Battery Boy. Well, I was just reminded of this by seeing an ad
for the first series on DVD. Who would have thought they'd ever release
that? Who would have thought they would have kept it? Not me, anyway. The
reason it makes me nostalgic now has nothing to do with childhood days
(mine were uniformly appalling) but the camaraderie that existed within
this newsgroup in its heyday.

They say all good things come to an end. Actually, all things come to an
end. Usually we find something to replace those things. I've yet to find
that something. But there's no hurry. As my best friend keeps telling me,
my punishment for being an atheist is likely to be life everlasting. God
forbid!
Grim
