You were right, of course. He had been gone nearly a year at that point,
but my grief, combined with the blindness of youth, was too great for me
to see it that way.
Perhaps I did not understand Cronan as well as I though I did, when he
was still around. Part of me feels that this may be the real tragedy.
But most of me realizes that that's selfish.
I miss him still.
