There were so many plotlines and background things hinted at that
weren't realized. One i am fascinated with is the relationships of The
Lambeth Kin to the Abyss. There was evidence aplenty that suns were
sentient in the andromedaverse, but what was the Spirit of the Abyss? I
gathered from hints in the show that it was the sentience of A Black
Hole [if not the Sentience of Black Holes universally]. In that case, it
is almost a "family feud" between the Kin and the Abyss. I also ask:
what possible interest can planet dwelling life forms on a human scale
have any relevant bearing on such a war. The kin and abyss exist on such
different scales of size and time compared to the, to them, ephemeral
and microbial nature of life on "our" level that they would little more
aware of us than bacteria on a petri dish. Why would they be interested
in us at all? I don't think they would. Until that life could gain their
attention. The development of a device to make suns go nova, for
example. With the invention of the nova bomb, life on our scale would
finally have the power to be noticed by the kin and abyss. We could now
play a role in their affairs.
