a common problem with Fred is, that she is turning magic into science
(which wants people to shut her up)...
it's a little bit annoying, but nothing to not adore Fred, any other
than that complaint; I really can't understand. What I like about her
especially is, that her quirkiness is a sign of her being slightly
crazy, and only being endearing in a second step...
There's an equation with quirkiness - endearing and quirkiness -
mentally insane;
on the one side are Drusilla and River: Their flakiness is a sign for
insanity;
and on the other hand there are Willow and Kaylee, and the character
trait is supposed to be endearing without being a sign of mentally
insanity;
I would argue that on this scale Fred is somewhere in the middle, being
slightly crazy and endearing. And as much as I like Drusilla and River,
Fred is still my favorite WV character.
