Just adding a note about Angel's remark that Spike is with "an 
elite group of scantily clad vigilante trainees".

If you look at the sequence of the conversation, Angel adds the 
"vigilante trainees" remark as a cover.  He almost tells Wesley 
that Spike is with Illyria but then decides not to.  It isn't clear 
whether Angel believes the "vigilante trainees" remark or said it 
only because he had to say SOMETHING.
