not going to buy it

if buffy didnt want to take responsibility for the wannabes
she couldve evicted them

if she was going to accept that responsibility
then she had to really be responsible

look at the events
spike goes into a homocidal rage and injures dawn
and would iikely killed a few if not in chains
and a few minutes buffy shuts down all further treatment
declares him safe enough and releases him

maybe she got all intutitive
maybe not
but all she communicates is poor spikey is in pain
