I'd forgotten quite how *bad* she was at playing blonde bimbos.

I don't understand quite what it was that went through the ceiling.  The
two slices of only-slightly-overdone toast were left neatly on the table. 
How could the toaster had blown itself up but left them behind and intact?

Inquiring anoraks wish to know!
