That sounds like the TV movie "Jarrett" starring Glenn Ford.He played a PI
tracking down some stolen dead sea scrolls. The bad guy was a comic
collector
who would buy up all the known copies of a rare comic book and then shred
all
but one to make it more valuable. Had a huge hidden vault in his home for
the
collection, the scrolls were hidden in a Flintstones comic.
