Re: "The Cybernauts" Reviewed

That episode was not entirely hopeless. Van Williams as the Hornet tells
Kato that they need to pull their punches and use good judgement to make
sure Batman and Robin don't get hurt in the upcoming clash. Lee sourly
says, "Gung fu is gung fu. It's not child's play!" but he does take it
easy on Robin.

How odd that the Avengers spoofed shows like THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. or
MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE and movies like THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN, only to be
gently ribbed in their own turn. One of the more recent Destroyer novels
has Remo Williams tangle with a pair of British agents more than
slightly similar to Steed and Mrs Peel.
