I hope the story in today's paper was a poorly timed April Fool about BBC
America canceling the only shows I watch on BBC America - The Avengers,
The
Saint, The Prisoner, Keeping Up Appearances, Are You Being Served, As Time
Goes By, Fawlty Towers, Benny Hill and a host of other shows. The
reasoning
is that they do not portray Britain as it is today. Do other shows on
BBC?
Do Britains now have the desperately low morals of Footballers Wives? The
confusion and mayhem of Little Britain? Has BBC America determined that
the
plays of Shakespeare are obviously out of date? The films of Hitchcock?
Please tell me that this is a poor joke and erroneous information.
