I guess this is the perfect example of two people seeing something and
reading it in an entirely different way. I thought he was actually
being quite gracious to Nat, considering the fact that she has been
practically stalking him the past couple of weeks and constantly makes
it clear that she is into him and wants him to be into her. Even when
he was apologizing, it wasn't enough for her, because he was still
making it clear that he wasn't interested in her in the way that she
wanted him to be.
I feel no sympathy for her. She came on to him so hard and
practically begged him to let her "take care of him". He has made it
clear from day one that he was not that into her. He also made it
pretty clear that the reason he isn't going to try to do anything with
her is because he realizes that she is way more into him than he is
into her and that it wouldn't be right to mess with her feelings. The
reason he blows her off is because all she ever does is constantly
complain that he doesn't give her the type of attention (***ually)
that she would like.
