I'm not sure who your "she" is here. Allison G. didn't manage the
phone while on-air, and the host was Bunky. Did you mean Gretchen,
who usually punches the phone buttons, but was off today?
The phone queue is handled off-set. I'm pretty sure, as an
interpretation of what I've seen, that Gretchen takes auditory cues
from an earpiece as to what buttons are available with what person.
Are the cues directives? content descriptions? I couldn't say.
