I gather it's oatmeal flavored with two or more spectacularly
non-complementary (but not unhealthy) condiments.

For example pickled herring juice and dijon mustard. For me putting me
on sweet potatoes or parsnips for a week would have the same effect.
Others will have different tastes

Yep.

I'd be more sympathetic to Sharon on 'the question' had she not
completely pooched the tie-break. Surely she knows how long Sheila
stayed up there and even if simply multiplying by 2 (and not adding
anything for the 3rd or 4th place finishers) would do better than what
she did.
