If there's even the slightest possibility that Sharon could make a case
there would be hundreds of attorneys foaming at the mouth to take her on
contingency and represent her against the deep pockets of Endemol and CBS.
Here's how the case would go:
Attorneys for both sides make their opening remarks. Then Sharon takes the
witness stand.
Defense attorney: Please look at this dictionary and tell me if you see
the
definition for "relation****p" that says, "Connection by blood or marriage;
kin****p."
Sharon: Yes, it's there.
Defense attorney: Do you know what "kin****p" means?
Sharon: Yes, it's a connection by blood or marriage.
Defense attorney: Do you see any definition for "relation****p" or
"kin****p"
that limits those terms to humans only?
Sharon: No.
Defense attorney: BB claims that the guinea pigs you cared for are
sisters.
Do you have any information at all to make you believe they're not really
sisters?
Sharon: No
Defense attorney: So as sisters, they have a connection by blood. They are
kin, correct?
Sharon: Yes.
Defense attorney: Therefore, by the dictionary definition, they have a
relation****p, correct?
Sharon: (To her attorney) I'm sorry- I'm a Christian so I can't lie unless
it's about my back. Yes, my beeebeeeeees have a relation****p.
Defense attorney: And do you have any reason to believe the guinea pigs
were
born in the house?
Sharon: No.
Defense attorney: So their relation****p existed before they entered the
house, correct?
Sharon: Yes.
Judge: You know what, I can't listen to Sharon's voice for another second
and I'm not going to waste the jury's time on this one. Sharon, just
accept
the fact that it was a tough question and that guessing gave you a 50%
chance to get it correct but you didn't. And accept the fact that you had
a
second chance with the tie-breaker but you ****ed up big time.
Sharon: I have accepted that. It was my attorney and my ferocious fans who
are having a tough time dealing with it.
Judge: Well, good for you, too bad for them. Case dismissed.
