Perhaps you're the one who's not familiar with write offs. A charitable
donation reduces the amount of someone's taxable income, which lowers the
amount of the taxes they pay. And donations up to 20% of someone's adjust
gross income are completely deductible. Anybody who thinks that entire
$100K
is coming out of his post-tax earnings is the one who's mistaken.
