Why would you be tired of NY coverage?  NYC is the premiere city in the
country.  Boston (as far as I am concerned) is foreign.  In Fairfield and
New Haven counties, what possible interest can you want to have in New
England coverage?  There is a NECN station that you can watch for that.  I
try to watch it as I like to see news from different parts of the
country(yes, that's right), but I don't watch because I cannot relate to
it.
It is the same as watching news from DC or Colorado.  It is THEIR news not
ours.  New England and Boston channels try to invade our homes because we
are a part of the NYC area and they need and want our market.  So they try
and make a "New England land grab" for markets.

I cannot imagine that you are from Fairfield.  Only a 'northerner' or a
New
Englander would be tired of not seeing what he or she thought that they
should see in CT.  Boston gets no respect down here!  Boston, a tiny city
with people who talk funny.  Boston, a city only known for s****ts and the
revolution.  Boston, de facto capital of New England and no other city
will
get ****ne (noticed) as long as you want to be a part of New England. 
Being
a part of the NYC tri-state area, you get noticed.  Just ask NJ residents.
They milk their close proximity to NYC for all that they can get out of
it.
I admit that I like the way CT does not need NYC to do anything, but at
the
same time, if it were not fro NYC, southwestern CT would not be famous or
as
rich.  Logic:  NYC near the SW CT=rich and the most populous part of the
sate.  Windham county, closest part of CT to Boston= least populous and
poorest part of the state.  Do you need a PhD to figure out why?
