> Dracula has a soul? Like Angel and Spike? Now, it's possible that this
they have two different meaning for soul
one is that a soul is the supernatural power that powers and directs the
body
so that you can have demon and human souls
two is that soul is a human soul alone
and demon refers to demon soul and-or demon body
the reference is compatiable with the first definition
> He also needs to shave, which creates an immediate canon conflict with
> Angel:After the Fall 6.05. Still, according to my 'vampire hair growth
> theory', we can assume that Dracula was full-bearded as a human and
> has to shave to appear smooth-chinned. He also either uses a glamour
> to seem younger, or dyes his hair black...
there are references in the tv series
asking how angel shaves without a reflection
they dont show anyone shaving on the tv and only one haircut
so im thinking the page is refering to something else
perhaps that he can actually see himself when he shaves
> 4) One Slayer asks "Buffy just allowed him to go hang out with
> Dracula?" - which is an interesting assumption regarding the amount of

buffy might have given xander a choice
either work with slayers or wear dracula manservant bloomers
can see a vampire slayer demanding no one in her organization
exchanging missives with a notorious vampire
and giving xander the choice when she was setting up operations
> 5) Notice the Slayer carrying a huge bale of hay in the background in
> one panel?
i thought that was just demonstrating their casual strength
especially compared to aiko getting her jaw broken
> The next scene at Slayer Central does more to showcase Buffy's
> authority - not to mention her charisma and cult-leader status among
> some Slayers. Aiko is (was) clearly an extremely competent and capable
> Slayer, but she's also apparently a Buffy fangirl overwhelmed to be
> finally talking to her idol face to face. And then there's Buffy's
buffy is becoming a legend
if we conveniently forget faith then buffy is the last slayer by the old
rules
and she is the hero of sunnydale (conveniently ignoring empty places)
-dune- also has this where paul atreides fades
to replaced by messiah maudib
> So if Buffy doesn't normally expect instant obedience, why does she
> want it from Satsu here? I suspect personal reasons lie behind her
> extreme reaction. Perhaps she's afraid Satsu is trying to use their
> sleeping together as a way to increase her status in the organisation,
- what am i st buffy? hes like three feet tall
the character has never oozed compassion and empathy
she has always been shallow
and i see it as her doubt and confusion easily breach the surface
and she is angry at herself for letting it happen
and for being angry at being angry
> Turning back to Dracula, Xander and Renee, there's already been some
> controversy about the Dark Master (Bator)'s racism (the references to
> 'Moors', 'Orientals' and 'filthy yellow swine'.) In the original book,
> Dracula was certainly a believer in the racial superiority of
ive known people who never considered themselves racists
but when they were young and walking on the sidewalks
negroes knew to make way by stepping into the gutters
its an attitude not of the hate and violence you normally see
but that there is an order and people have their proper place
its still racism but genteel racism
> conversation, not uncomfortable prying. Remember, this is the Willow
> who pressed Buffy for "Details!" about her first night with Parker,
> and enjoyed her "vicarious smoochies" with Buffy and Riley.
i guess she wants more than a blurry watercolor this time
> Okay, serious question. Can anybody remember any episodes of the TV
> show where Sarah Michelle Gellar made a "high pitched squeal" like the
> one Willow describes? Just for research purposes...
is gellar capable of that kind of noise
arf meow arf - everything thing i know i learned
from the collective unconscience of odd bodkins
sacramento - political pigsty of the western world
or a babys arm holding an apple
