Which makes her plan even more stupid not better. Why is she attacking 
him in a public place etc when he's totally vulnerable to modern 
weapons? Get a gun, shoot him in the face, cut him up and bury him again.

Of course then we have to ask why Vampires haven't shot Buffy about a 
hundred times and why the Scoobies don't carry weapons etc. and we have 
to fanwank the sad answer of 'innocents could get killed' which 
completely ignores just how many innocents already get killed and so on.

Then have the kids all run away 2 minutes into the speech? Full speed 
into a pre-prepared couple of busses and shut bugger off.

Basically they've convinced a large amount of schoolkids that the mayor 
is about to turn into a demon and they are about to be attacked by 
vampires (Thus hanging a ridiculously large lantern on the whole 'we see 
what we want to see' argument against why anyone lives there at all) and 
then has convinced them to 'fight' said demon and vampires? And they 
'all' turned up!
I'd be wondering why I'm being asked to fight a bunch of vampires at all 
when Buffy's entire plan hinges on mocking the Mayor using Faith's name 
then running away in a specific direction while leaving me in an 
unnecessary fight for my life against 'vampires'.
