Please point me at this great debate? Any by debate I don't mean people 
not knowing where her accent is from, I mean people claiming it doesn't 
sound Jamaican because they know a Jamaican accent.

Yes, except most people's perception would be born of ignorance. Just 
like if someone came on the television with a Swahili accent I wouldn't 
have the slightest clue. However that doesn't mean their accent isn't 
Swahili because it isn't recognised.
Kendra's accent was quite clearly Jamaican.
