Mr. Speaker, ladies and gentlemen of this austere body, I would like to
make the following motion:
Whereas the 1964 Rankin / Bass production of "Rudolf the Red-Nosed
Reindeer", now considered a classic, was done in stop-motion animation;
Whereas, the owners of this special have abandoned stop motion and
instead used cheap computer animation for the latest outing, the 2001
film "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer & the Island of Misfit Toys";
Whereas, the "Robot Chicken Christmas Special" has parodied "Rudolf"
using the classic, stop-motion animation method used in the original
1964 special;
Be it resolved that Seth Green and the whole "Robot Chicken" crew should
be commended for maintaining more fidelity to the original classic in
their parody of "Rudolf" than the current copyright holders in their
non-parody sequel.
Does anyone here second the motion?
