So I can't help notice it's been five days since the finale of KND aired
and
nobody's commented on it.
Fine, I'll go for it:
It was fun to watch, but the bullshit level was about 500x higher than
normal for KND. Frankly, the only thing about this that really gelled for
me
was the scavenger hunt and the interview framing device. Though it does
strike me as odd that

all of Sector V would be chosen to remain aware of their childhood
exploits
(as implied by the ending), when previously it's been seen that only truly
legendary operatives such as Chad and Maurice get to stay commissioned as
KND past the age of 13.
Also, there was some Wholly Unbelievable Bullshit going on, on at least
two
fronts: the entire Galactic KND thing, and the thought that Numbuh 4 went
on
to graduate from an Ivy League university and became a doctor. (WTF?
O.o;;)
(I know that absolutely EVERYTHING in KND is, effectively, Wholly
Unbelievable Bullshit, but Willing Suspension of Disbelief usually works
to
circumvent that by reminding yourself that within the logic of the series
universe, the usual KND bullshit makes sense. The Galactic KND thing was
impossible to swallow even by the normal rules of the KNDverse.)
I loved the references and in-jokes, though. Like the reference back to
Operation: P.I.N.K.E.Y.E.
My favorite sight gag, though? The "Welcome to New Jersey" sign on the
Drop-A-Log ride. XD
