| According to this article, "The Powerpuff Girls" (the American version)
| will be returning, starting with a half hour special. See
|
http://animationguildblog.blogspot.com/2007/07/monday-studio-rotation.html
|
| Given that this article was written in July, the special should be ready
| quite soon.
|
| I think it would be neat if Cartoon Network could both run "Powerpuff
| Girls" and "Powerpuff Girls Z". It would be interesting to do
| side-by-side comparisons.

If you want the generic plot for every "Powerpuff Girls Z" episode it
is
this.

Pose for long periods for no particular reason.
Hold long shots on characters with uninteresting expressions.
Yell really loud a bunch of uninteresting retarded phrases and then
pose
some more or gesture wildly for no entertaining reason.
    Pose some more.
More closeup shots of each of the girl's faces.
    Scream stupid phrases some more.
Have the characters over-react to uninteresting dialog with less
dignity
than a clown or a ghetto rapper.
Pose some more (because the show is BARELY ANIMATED to probably add up
to less frames of animation than FILMATION's "Fat Albert and the Cosby
Kids").
Do a bunch of closeup face shots of each of the girls (usually
thinking
something that is below the level of storytelling within the "Curious
George" lineup of books)
Flashback to really dopey looking costumes (worn for no particular
reason)
Follow a plotline that an infant would find tediously unimaginative
and
boring.
    Pose some more.

In order to bring "Powepuff Girls Z" up to a not-immediately-repulsed
watchable level they'd have to pay the "Super Shin Chan" writers to
redialog
the entire thing so that it was extremely funny. The craptacular levels
on
not-being-animated and the over-posing would have to be cut out (thusly
reducing each episode to about 10 minutes).

Hell, watching this episode without subtitles is slightly less
annoying
and barely less repulsive than knowing the moronic and inane dialog is
"making sense to the writers" (who obviously were dropped on their heads
daily as infants and then given full frontal lobotomies). Just LISTENING
to
the snippy dialog and shrieky voices with badly-edited booming sound
effects
it headache-inducing in itself. God damn, I want to punch the writers and
voice actors just for thinking their potential audience wants to listen to
this shrieky repulsive noise. The animation is bad enough with the
obsession of doing "big head" shots, but the audio is an
instant-MUTE-BUTTON
incentive.

Yep, I want to stab the animation team in the eyes and punch the audio
editor of this crap show until they cannot form comprehensible words any
more. The writers of this crap-show need to suck on the barrel of loaded
shotgun and then pull the trigger.

Damn this show is unwatchable crap.
