Granted, a lot of recent Adult Swim fare such as "Saved By The Bell" and
"Assy McGee"have pissed off viewers. But it would be hard to make the
case that a commercial entity would purposely seek to alienate its
customer base. A much more plausible explanation for this is pure
incompetence: they actually thought that we'd /like/ these shows.
Hopefully, they've gotten the message that we expect more sophisticated
programming

Frankly, I would be in favor of cutting the bumps entirely. At first,
they were fresh and funny. But this act has gotten tiresome after a few
years. Now the bumps feel like an overlong instant message whose point
was lost a long time ago. I hate to think that *any* program content is
cut to make room for this blather. At this point, I'd even prefer the
octogenarian swimsuit models!
