Pretty much.
I mentally tied it into the Harry Potter Universe of characters by
imagining these "Magical Board Games" as amusements of Wizards that fell
into Muggle hands.
The plot is pretty much "Every time a card pops out the reality sphere
in which these kids exists changes into a more complex form".
It's watchable, has a plot twist with the Astronaut character, and the
desire to have both repulsive children die horrible deaths tends to pass
after the first half-hour.
