Beginning next week (week of March 10), *the Adult Swim block will consist
entirely of "Comedy" shows*, with the only anime shown on weeknights being
the 5am Inuyasha repeats.
Anime will air ONLY on Fridays and Saturdays from now on, with Friday's
anime block changing to Shin-chan, FMA, and GitS:SAC 2nd Gig, Saturday's
block continuing in the vein of Death Note, Bleach, and Blood+ until
April,
and no more Monday night repeats of the Saturday feature shows.
Now, it's no secret that the gang who runs Adult Swim not only hate their
viewer base, they ESPECIALLY hate the people who want anime on Adult Swim,
and go out of their way to do everything in their power to piss those
viewers off and drive them away.
But I do have to wonder:
Are the ratings for the anime showings really so bad that it's come to
this?
And is there no way of improving these ratings...such as perhaps NOT
showing
overplayed stuff on weeknights, or rotating in something a bit less stale?
The only new Anime acquisition for spring is Code Geass, beginning late in
April...and it's getting the bottom slot on the Saturday block from the
outset. Way to go, make sure that show will fail before it even has a
chance.
Additionally, Adult Swim is bringing back Assy McGee, which NOBODY ON THIS
PLANET LIKED, probably just so they can have a show on their schedule with
the word 'Ass' in the title.
I believe a serious review of the personnel running Adult Swim is long
past
due, because there is something seriously wrong with these retards. This
is
not the way you run a network if you want people to keep watching it!!
I can't be the only one thinking this.
