BOREHAMWOOD AUTUMN CONVENTION 2004
Saturday July 31st and Sunday August 1st
This is to be a 2-day weekend event which will include exclusive video
screenings of rare "Prisoner" material, interactive games, quizzes,
discussion op****tunities and an evening party.
Borehamwood was home to MGM Studios where much of The Prisoner was
filmed. Several of the locations used in the series still exist and a
walkabout of these is to be organised for the Saturday afternoon.
Our guest will be MICHAEL BILLINGTON who, in addition to his work on
"The Prisoner" has many other cult TV and film credits. He is particularly
well known as Colonel Paul Foster in the Gerry Anderson series "U.F.O."
which also featured Alexis Kanner in one episode, directed by "Prisoner"
producer, David Tomblin.
There will be a presentation on Michael Billington's TV and film work,
a question and answer session and the op****tunity to purchase exclusive
personally autographed photogaphs.
Other video treats in the Saturday programme will include recently
discovered behind-the-scenes footage from the "Danger Man" opening, rare
Prisoner-inspired music videos, a documentary on the impact which
Borehamwood has had on The Prisoner and other cult TV series and lots more
Six Of One-exclusive material.
London is easily accessible from Borehamwood via the tube link so there
will also be a walkabout of some of the London locations on the Sunday,
such as the exterior of The Prisoner's London home, the underground car
park and those famous double doors.
