Yeah, I noticed when they started showing the same episode twice on the
same night. TV4 turned into a 24 hour channel for a while, but now it
seems to have gone back to shutting down at the end of every night. Does
that happen every year? It seems very strange to me, but perhaps Sweden
has such long days during the summer that people demand 24hr channels
for those months.

Would be better to go straight from the digital broadcast rather than
compress VHS tapes (which already show signs of deterioration). But if
you are thinking of volunteering, you have my full sup****t :-)
I have hundreds of episodes on VHS, but the quality is quite bad on a
lot of them. I would like to digitise them, but I'd never have the time!
Someone out there must have the equipment and the time. I'm sure they
will never all be released on DVD officially.

A friend of mine bought a new hard drive a few months ago: 300GB! And
that size is not very unusual these days. It would be amazing to have
every episode on just one disc :-)
