You mean, like the Clinton impeachment? The Republicans would be
screaming bloody murder when the Dems used some of the tactics
they tried, and all kinds of dirt would get hung out. Oh, yeah,
it would be a real mess. And I don't know if our Congress has
the cojones to see it through. If they don't start showing some
muscle over the B.A.'s refusal to respond to subpoenas, I doubt
that they will have what it takes to carry off an impeachment.
But in its absence what's the message? Do whatever you like when
you're in power, with no regard for the law, and with no
consequences beyond a couple hundred million people in the US
hating you, but what do you care since your contempt for them
oozes out every time you open your mouth?
Kind of like Spiro Agnew, Cheney is Bush's insurance policy
against his own impeachment.
