Yeah, especially when you consider that the median household
income in the US (in 2005) was around $46k ... and the 95th
percentile was around $166k. Since he took a huge pay cut to go
work for the White House, I would think he'd have already socked
away something to pay that tuition.

With a nephew going to college in a year, I've been hearing about
tuition... and it's mind-boggling. Most of the private schools
he's been looking at (Boston College-RPI-BU-Northeastern) are
running around $45K this year. Most offer financial packages, but
if he goes to one of these he's going to be paying off big loans.
He'll probably get a decent scholar****p, but 100% is very
unlikely. His parents' income falls well short of $168K - and
they have two more kids coming up behind him.
