If you didn't see last night's episode and missed the moment that CSI
GSR (Grissom-Sara Romance) fans had been waiting for over 7 years
(their first and only onscreen kiss together, unless Jorja Fox is
somehow lured back by CBS) here it is on YouTube:

Of course, their first kiss *had* to be a goodbye kiss, this being TV
and all. :)
Sorry to see Jorja Fox go, but it's completely understandable why.
Spending almost 7 1/2 years on the same show, even one as successful
as CSI, is a
LONG time. It's amazing that all 6 main characters of CSI from
Season 1 (William Petersen, Marg Helgenberger, Gary Dourdan, George
Eads, Jorja Fox and Paul Guilfoyle) were still on the show
up until last night's episode (Episode 7 of Season 8). It may be a
record for a TV drama. (A sitcom is another story)
Almost the entire original cast of ER had left the show by the
end of Season 8, with the exception of Noah Wyle and a cast
member who only returned after leaving the show for a few years
(Sherri Stringfield). I think the same thing happened with
the original cast of NYPD Blue by its 8th season except Dennis
Franz. By 24's 6th season last year, everyone from Season 1 was gone
(mostly killed off ;-) ) except Kiefer Sutherland. So CSI is kind of
a rarity for dramas, I think.

P.S. Fun bit of trivia: Jorja Fox first got her big break on ER
with
a recurring part as lesbian Dr. Maggie Doyle. George Eads and Marg
Helgenberger also had small recurring parts on ER as well. Now,
what comes around goes around, I've seen countless people who had bit
parts on CSI and CSI:Miami become regulars on "Lost." Pretty funny.
