This week's episode had its problems. I wasn't sure whether Warrick was 
hallucinating or recalling actual events, his confrontation with Nick
about 
the pills was a bit abrupt with no setup, and the ending was melodramatic 
with Warrick's shouting "No!"

However, do you really want "CSI" to turn into "Law & Order" or "Cold
Case"? 
Those shows are painful to watch because they are extremely predictable.
The 
characters are stock, the lines appear are hokey and cliche, and you
pretty 
much know where the story is going. "CSI" is better than those shows
because 
it dares to be different. The Thanksgiving episode was brilliant because
it 
allowed us to see the characters in a different light and to learn more 
about them. It also enabled teh actors to have fun. Hell, the comedy was 
light years better than anything you'll find on today's sitcoms.
