They are halfway there in CSI:NY with the girl from Montana or North 
Dakota or wherever. Send her back home with all the big-city skills she 
learned and turn her loose on the horse thieves and cattle rustlers. She 
could even bring along her potential love interest partner to add a 
"city slicker in the sticks" angle.
