Catherine had made a comment about how "Broke Back Mountain" had made her
cry at the end, and Hodges admitted that it takes a "special" man for that

movie to make them cry, and he said "I am that man".......Think he was
trying to impress Catherine with his sensitivity.....what a brown nose.

And you didn't miss anything with Warrick, that was the first time he
showed
up in that episode, and at the end of the scene, Nick welcomed him
back....They sure left out a lot between his "suspension" and last night.

Each rodeo competitor has to supply all of there own equipment. It's not
like stick and ball s****ts where the team owner or school provides the
players with the equipment, travel expenses and rooms while on the rode.
It's all up to the competitor. If you want to play, then you have to pay.
They also have to pay entry fees for each event that they want to compete
in
at each rodeo. Often, they don't win enough to pay the entry fees, so they

go back to work at their "job" to make more money to pay the fees at the
next rodeo. Rodeo promoters pay bull andbronc owners to bring the bulls
and
broncs that are used in bull riding and bronc riding, but barrel racers,
calf ropers and steer wrestlers have to provide there own horses on which
to
compete. So they have to pay for the training, trans****taion and upkeep on

thier mounts. Rodeoing ain't cheap. The protrayal of the bullowner in the
show seemed pretty realistic. The owners of good bulls get paid well to
bring them to the rodeo. But then again the care of a bull isn't cheap
either. You would be amazed at how much a good bull costs today. The more
violent the bull or bronc, the "better" it is.

Rodeoing is a very intense s****t. I was raised around horese and I've been

to many rodeos over the years. I'll tell you, the bull riding just scares
the crap out of me. A cousin of mine was once a bull rider until he broke
several bones in his face when he was thrown forward on the bull and he
was
hit by the bulls horn just under his eye. Several surgeries later, he
retired. The part of the show about all the injuries the rider had
sustained over the years seemed pretty realistic to me. Even the ladies
that
get involved in barrel racing have to be pretty tough. I've seem them
pinned
against the walls of the arena, horses falling and rolling over them, legs

broken against the barrels when the horses cut it too close.....You got to

be tough to be a cowboy or a cow girl.
