Has anyone watched this reality show on A & E? I've found some of the
"scripted" moments nearly unbearable (on a Horatio level), but seeing
some of the gadgets that they have are pretty cool. The Sphere 2000
takes a 3D scan of the crime scene, so they can 'work their theories'
on it. They have the voice comparison software.
It's really interesting to see that while CSI may take things to a
level they can't quite reach, speed wise, most of that stuff works the
way they show it (okay, maybe not the PING the ISP thing). It is
interesting to see how they get permission (warrant) to search a crime
scene, the warrants to check phone records. Yeah, the discussions
with some of the 'specialists' is trying, but they just want to get
their information out there.
