I've been wondering why/how CSI: Miami fits in to the CSI franchise.
The original CSI has always been well written, and hasn't deviated from
the
original premise of the lab work and investigative techniques involved to
solve the cases. Of course they have their on going story lines and
interpersonal dramas, but they haven't fallen into the trap of sci-fi
fantasy as Miami has.
CSI: NY still has it's feet on the ground, and with the exception of Mack
blowing up the whole lab when the terrorists attacked, that show still has
a
realistic feel to it.
CSI: Miami started out pretty good, but the last few years, it has just
gone
in a direction that makes the whole show unbelievable. In my mind, it
started with the episode where Horatio useda laws rocket to blow up an
explosives laden truck, on a public road. Ever since that episode, it has
just gone down hill. Even to the point of Eric seeing dead people.
Did one of the producers have a bad LSD trip and decided to make CSI:
Miami
a real fantasy type show? Have the producers decided to sabotage their own
show? Do they think that because it is in Miami that it doesn't have to be
believable? After all, Florida is the home of the Magic Kingdom. And we
know that everyone living in Florida is living a fantasy come true.....I
just don't get it....
(BTW, that part about living a fantasy come true is meant as sarcasm,
folks....)
