But when the slate hit him they were no longer racing. They were moving 
quite slow. Still a pretty good shot to get him in the head.  

However, they stated the victim had just been released from prison and 
this was his first day out. So how did she know he would be out on his 
wave runner?  

I can buy the idea that they wanted to whack the guy ASAP, but I can 
think of a few dozen ways that made more sense.
