I've never liked people picking on others because they are
"different" (i.e., challenged in any way, being overweight, being not
as smart as someone else, etc.).  I taught my step-daughter to respect
others, and she's teaching my granddaughter that, but it appears to be
a dying standard.

When *did* we (society in general, not *us* specifically) start
thinking it was alright to humiliate people?
