History of quitting? He got out of Seinfeld at the best time. One
could say he has a sense of showman****p (to borrow a phrase used well
on Seinfeld) that the rest of the bunch needs. Much of the season
without Larry was mediocre, at best.
Seinfeld was one of those shows that was entertaining when it was
pretty bad in comparison to its best eps, but the difference was still
noticeable. Personally, I think there's something to be said for
people who only want to produce good stuff versus people like JLD and
Jason A. who throw themselves out there for any sitcom they can get.
You gotta have standards. With the money LD helped them make, surely
they should be able to live on that for a while without just looking
desperate.
