The "Dark Angel" saga continues in Dark Angel: The Next Chapter.
In 2047, twenty-six years after the events in the Dark Angel episode,
"Freak Nation", America is still not only feeling the devastating effects
of
the Pulse but has fallen under the fascist rule of a
corrupt and ruthless Senator who has turned the nation into a brutal
police
state where freedom and justice are nothing but a memory and have been
replaced by tyranny. The Senator enforces his will on
America through a ruthless cyborg army that was manufactured by Omni
Consumer Products, an evil robotics firm that manufactures deadly robots
for
military use and sells them to the highest bidder and
powerful, genetically-enhanced assassins who seek out and eliminate
anybody
who would oppose him. The leader of those assassins is a Russian assassin
known only as "Akula".
The transgenic colony at Terminal City, the abandoned part of
Seattle that was taken over by Max and her transgenic comrades, no longer
exists. It was wiped out in 2025 by Ames White, using a deadly biological
weapon that consisted of a virus that was designed to kill transgenics.
All
of the transgenics were killed, including Max, who had ended her
relation****p with Logan Cale and friend****p with Original Cindy forever
when
she discovered that continuing to have contact with them would put the
transgenic colony in further danger. But not everybody in Terminal City
was
killed. There were survivors, and somebody that Max left behind who she
wanted to carry on her legacy, somebody she never told Logan Cale about. A
daughter.
A daughter who would grow up to look just like her mother. A daughter
who would join forces with her father, Logan Cale, Original Cindy, the
surviving Transgenics, and all-new allies to battle Ames White and the
Familiars, who are still hunting the transgenics, and avenge her mother's
death and battle this thug and his goons, Omni, and the Senator and his
cyborg army, and become the new DARK ANGEL! Her name: Alicia.
